Success at Bournemouth Airshow


Cover at the Bournemouth Airshow was again a success with members coming out to support the launching of Zulu to cover the Exclusion Zone patrols. Along with our colleagues at Poole we were able to provide cover Thursday,Friday & Sunday remaining on standby on the Saturday due to poor weather conditions causing organizers cancel flying until evening. Well Done to all those involved and a Thank You to Janet for looking after us all!

Final Fireworks Cover Complete


On Friday we covered the final Bournemouth Fireworks on board RLSS Poole Lifeguard Legacy, due to Zulu receiving maintenance at Rib Craft. The Fireworks Season has once again been a big success.  A big thank you to all Helms, Crews & those assisting in launching and recovering Zulu.


Poole Harbour Canoe Race


A big thanks to Nick and James 2, who braved the early start to cover the Poole Harbour Canoe race with our colleagues from RLSS Poole Lifeguards and the Poole MVS Crews. On land based Duties were Janet on First Aid and Steve O on Comms. The event was another success with all paddlers returning safely and with only one capsize !


End of Season Beach Evening

Great evening down the beach as Membersimg_6090 took advantage of the good weather. Rookie Lifeguards completed their Rookie Paddle Board Award, while also experiencing the Clubs Inshore Rescue Boat ZULU. Following the water activities a Beach BBQ was put on to warm everyone up with Burgers, Sausages and Hot Wings. Thanks goes to Nick & Hannah for organizing the evening, Chris for helming ZULU and Janet for refereeing the Beach Flags and as Head Chef 🙂

Lifetime Service Award – Janet Taylor


At this evenings AGM our Club Captain Nick, presented Janet with a Lifetime Service Award and Lifetime Membership, to acknowledge the the amount of work she has put into Boscombe Lifeguards, other local Lifesaving Clubs and the PBCLSA (Poole,Bournemouth & Christchurch Life Saving Association).

Quite simply put by one of our members “Janet is Boscombe Lifeguards, without her we would be lost”
