RLSS Boscombe Lifeguards starts training their Rookie Lifeguards from the age of 9 years. They follow the RLSS Rookie Lifeguard programme completing awards through Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards covering Water Safety, Lifesaving Skills & Self Rescue.
Bolt on Awards include: 1st Aid & Life Support, Communications, Beach Running & Paddle Board
Rookie Sessions take place at Pehams Pool during Winter months between 17:30 & 19:00 on a Sunday Evening.
During summer months Rookie Sessions move down to the Clubs Beach Unit at Boscombe. Here we focus more on beach skills, training skills which will lead on to Assistant Beach Lifeguard.
